LENDER ALERT: NYS Ends Foreclosure/Eviction Moratorium

This past Saturday, January 15, 2022, marked an end to the foreclosure and eviction moratoriums for NY (Chapter 417).

Essentially, this means that the courts will no longer be prohibited from accepting new filings absent proof of service of a Hardship Declaration. While this does mean foreclosure and eviction proceedings can move forward, we anticipate there will still be red tape challenges that come with this return to normalcy—all of which our team has been preparing for to better serve our clients. Private Lender Laws nationwide foreclosure and loss mitigation practice group is standing by to assist you as and when needed. Private Lender Law. Always here, always on.
