Senior Closing Paralegal
Emily Scarano is an experienced Closer with Private Lender Law. As a member of the “original cast” of Private Lender Law since 2019, Emily has spent years perfecting her closing practice and learning the tricks of the trade.
She has had many surprising positions in the past, most notably working in higher education as a Professor of English Composition. She began as the Paralegal or “Set-up” to Allison Glessner’s “Closer” position and developed into a self-sufficient closer with her own team and clients to manage. She now works closely with Drew Tanner on the most complex and high-touch transactions, with experienced lenders. Emily is also an expert in helping growing lenders expand to find their footing among the best.
Along the way, she has helped mentor and educate many Legal Assistants and Paralegals as they perfected their craft or became Closers themselves, just like she did. Through Emily’s leadership, the closing team continues to grow to new levels.
She values accuracy at work, and creativity and positivity in her life. In her limited free time, she’s always looking for a new restaurant to try out!
In her time off, you can catch her cruising around the beach in her blue Thunderbird (or on her similarly colored bicycle), singing along to her Spotify playlists.
